The Australian Treasury has launched two public consultation on:

• Improving the foreign resident capital gains withholding tax regime; and
• Strengthening the foreign resident capital gains tax regime.

The deadline for comments on the first consultation is 5 August 2024 and the deadline for comments on the second consultation is 20 August 2024.
