Australia Introducing Additional Breach Reporting Obligations for Tax Practitioners

The Australian Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) has announced the release of draft guidance on additional breach reporting obligations for tax practitioners that will apply from 1 July 2024. The guidance is based on the Draft Information Sheet TPB(I) D53/2024 Breach reporting under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA), which will be reviewed following the consultation ending on 28 May 2024. The TPB will update the guidance content if needed, once the draft Information Sheet is finalized.
