Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom Hold First Round of Negotiations for New Tax Treaty

According to a release from Azerbaijan's State Tax Service on 10 June 2026, the first round of negotiations for a new income and capital tax treaty with the United Kingdom has been held in London, with a second round to be held in November in Baku. Any resulting treaty must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1994 tax treaty between the two countries.
