Bangladesh Budget for 2018-19 Delivered

The Bangladesh Budget Speech for 2018-19 was delivered by Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on 7 June 2018. Some of the main points of the budget include:

• Maintaining the tax rates/brackets for individual taxpayers as follows:
  • up to BDT 250,000 – 0%
  • over BDT 250,000 up to BDT 650,000 – 10%
  • over BDT 650,000 up to 1.15 million – 15%
  • over BDT 1.15 million up to 1.75 million – 20%
  • over BDT 1.75 million up to 4.75 million – 25%
