Bangladesh National Budget Speech for 2025-26 Delivered Including Several Tax Changes

The Bangladesh National Budget Speech for 2025-26 was delivered by Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Adviser to the Ministry of Finance on 2 June 2025.

The main individual and corporate income tax measures of the budget include the following:

• The tax-free income threshold for general individual taxpayers is increased from BDT 350,000 to BDT 375,000 for the assessment years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 (income/tax years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027), with the following brackets/rates:
