According to a post from the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Bangladesh and Estonia vowed to strengthen bilateral relations during the 2nd Foreign Office Consultations between the two countries held in Tallinn on 10 August 2026. Among other things, the two sides discussed and agreed to conclude an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
