Belgium Provides List of Goods that are Exempt from Import Customs Duties and VAT for COVID-19

The Belgian Ministry of Finance has issued a release providing a non-exhaustive list of goods that are exempt from import customs duties and VAT due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exemptions are being provided as per the 3 April 2020 decision of the European Commission on the exemption from customs duties and VAT on the import of goods needed to combat the effects of COVID-19. The decision covers imports into Belgium from 31 March 2020 until 31 July 2020.
