Brazil Providing Import Duty and Payment Relief for COVID-19

Brazil's Ministry of Economy has reportedly announced the following measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

• A 0% import duty on specified medical supplies until 30 September 2020, as well as expedited customs clearance; and
• A 3-month deadline extension for the payment of federal taxes under the Simples Nacional regime and for employer contributions to the unemployment severance fund (FGTS).
