Canada Launches Consultations on Improving Support for R&D and Creating and Retaining Intellectual Property in Canada.

Canada's Department of Finance has announced the launch of consultations on improving support for research and development and on creating and retaining intellectual property in Canada. This includes consultation papers on:

1. Cost-neutral ways to modernize and improve the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program; and,
2. The suitability of creating a patent box regime.
