Canada to Reduce Small Business Tax Rate

According to a release from Canada's Department of Finance, the Government intends to reduce the small business tax rate from 10.5% to 10.0%, effective 1 January 2018, and to 9.0%, effective 1 January 2019. The reduced rate applies on the qualifying active business income of a Canadian-controlled private corporation (CCPC) up to CAD 500,000.
