On 9 July 2020, Chile's Senate (upper house of Congress) approved the bill for the ratification of the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI). After the ratification procedure is complete, Chile must deposit its ratification instrument to bring the MLI into force for its covered agreements (treaties).
