Costa Rica Beneficial Ownership Registry Requirements Mandatory from September 2019

Costa Rica's Ministry of Finance has announced that the country's new beneficial ownership registry requirements are mandatory from 1 September 2019. With the new registry, companies, partnerships, trusts, and certain other entities are initially required to submit a declaration of beneficial ownership information according to the following schedule, based on the last digit of their ID number:

• 2 and 3 - October 2019
