Croatia Approves Tax Treaty with India

On 13 June 2014, the Croatian Parliament approved the law ratifying the tax treaty with India. The treaty was signed 12 February 2014 and is the first of its kind between the two countries.

Taxes Covered

The treaty covers income taxes of both countries.

Withholding Tax Rates

• Dividends - 5% if the beneficial owner is a company holding at least 5% of the paying company's capital, otherwise 15%
• Interest - 10%
• Royalties - 10%
