Cyprus Provides Temporary Zero VAT Rate for Meat and Fish

The Cyprus Tax Department has announced a temporary zero VAT rate on meat and fish from 6 April 2026 to 30 September 2026. The zero rate applies to fresh, chilled, or frozen beef, pork, sheep and goat meat, poultry, and rabbit/hare meat, as well as offal products, and to fresh, chilled, or frozen fish, cuttlefish, squid, and octopus. Prepared meat and fish products remain subject to the 5% VAT rate.
