Czech Government Approves Draft Law to Reintroduce Electronic Sales Recording Requirements, Reduce VAT on Non-Alcoholic Beverages, and Exempt Tips

The Czech Government has announced that it has approved and sent to parliament the draft Sales Registration Act, which provides for the reintroduction of electronic sales recording requirements (Elektronická Evidence Tržeb - EET). As previously reported, the requirements to electronically record sales were previously introduced in 2016, but the full implementation of the requirements was delayed/suspended, and the requirements were ultimately repealed in 2022.
