Denmark's New Tax Administration Launched

The Danish Ministry of Taxation has announced the launch of the restructured tax administration on 1 July 2018. The changes are meant to provide better service and restore public trust following a number of tax evasion/avoidance issues in recent years that have resulted in billions in lost tax revenue.
The restructured administration replaces the centralized tax authority (SKAT) with seven specialized agencies. Each agency is responsible for one of seven core tasks, and include:
