Dominican Republic Provides Further Extensions and Payment Relief Due to COVID-19

The Dominican Republic's Directorate General of Internal Revenue (DGII) has issued Notice 45-20 of 9 April 2020 on relief facilities for tax obligations for the month of April 2020 due to COVID-19. This includes the following deadline extensions:

• The deadline for other withholding and complementary remuneration is extended from 13 April to 24 April 2020;
• The deadline for the second payment of tax on company assets with a closing date of 30 June is extended from 30 April to 29 May 2020; and
