Ecuador and Morocco Welcome Prospect of Signing Tax Treaty

According to a release from Morocco's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Ecuador and Morocco met on 17 April 2026 and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. During the meeting, the two sides welcomed the prospect of signing an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
