Finland Social Security Contribution Rates for 2018

The Finnish tax administration has announced the gross salary based social security contribution rates for 2018 for both employers and employees.

The rates for employer contributions are as follows:

• Health Insurance - 0.86%
• Pension Insurance (TyEL) - 17.75% (average) - Seafarers' Pension (MEL) - 13.20%
• Unemployment Insurance - 0.65% on gross salaries up to EUR 2,083.500 and 2.60% on gross salaries exceeding that amount
