Finnish President Approves Suspension of Tax Treaty with Russia

According to a decision published by Finland's Ministry of Finance, the Finnish President has approved the suspension of the 1996 income tax treaty with Russia with effect from 1 July 2026. Although Russia has suspended the application of certain provisions of the tax treaty since August 2023, Finland has continued to apply the treaty provisions unilaterally.
