On 26 July 2023, the German Federal Cabinet approved the signing of an amending protocol to the 1971 income and capital tax treaty with Switzerland. The protocol, which was initialed on 3 December 2020, will be the sixth to amend the treaty and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
