Germany Suspends Tax Treaty with Russia

The German Ministry of Finance has announced that Russia was notified of Germany's suspension of the 1996 tax treaty between the two countries on 30 June 2026. Russia had suspended the application of certain provisions of the tax treaty since August 2023. The suspension of the treaty by Germany is effective from 1 January 2027.
