Honduras Publishes Draft Decree Limiting Tax Incentive Benefits

The Honduras Ministry of Finance has published a draft decree law that would introduce limitations in relation to special tax regimes and exemption incentives. Some of the main measures of the decree include the following:

• For taxpayers benefiting from a special tax regime that includes a tax exemption for more than 12 years, the exemption is phased out with the introduction of a reduced rate of 10% for 2020-2021, a 15% rate for 2022-2025, and the standard 25% rate from 2026;
