Income Tax Bill 2010-11 – details

In June 2010, the Government published a draft of an intended Bill for a new Income Tax Act. The Government invited comments to the draft Bill and received comments. As a result, changes have been made to the draft Bill. These changes were published on 2 September 2010 with the intention to pass the Bill through Parliament before the end of October 2010. Details of the Bill, which unless otherwise indicated will apply from 1 January 2011, are summarized below.
