Ireland Publishes COVID-19 Information and Advice for Taxpayers and Agents

Irish Revenue has published COVID-19 information and advice for taxpayers and agents, which provides guidance on various issues in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the key areas of guidance are summarized as follows.

Temporary COVID-19 Wage Subsidy Scheme

The scheme, enables employees, whose employers are affected by the pandemic, to receive significant supports directly from their employer through the payroll system. The scheme is expected to last 12 weeks from 26 March 2020.
