Kenya Encourages Taxpayers to Take Advantage of Voluntary Tax Disclosure Programme

The Kenya Revenue Authority has issued a public notice encouraging taxpayers to take advantage of the Voluntary Tax Disclosure Programme, which provides penalty and interest relief for the disclosure of tax liabilities in the five-year period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2020, including individual income tax, corporate tax, and others. Where a disclosure is made and the principal tax amount is paid by 31 December 2021, 100% relief from penalties and interest is provided.
