Lebanon Providing Tax and Social Security Relief in Response to COVID-19

The Lebanon government is providing a number of tax relief measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes:

• an extension of the VAT return filing and payment deadline for Q1 2020 from 20 April to 15 May 2020;
• an extension of the payroll tax return filing and payment deadline for Q1 2020 from 15 April to 15 May 2020; and
• a six-month deferral of the payment of social security contributions due in respect of the first six months of 2020.
