Lithuania Looking to Conclude Tax Treaty Negotiations with Brazil

According to a release from Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, the president met with Brazilian Ambassador Rodrigo de Azeredo Santos on 1 December 2021 to discuss cooperation, including the importance of concluding an income tax treaty for the successful development of business. Negotiations for a tax treaty first began in 2018. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
