Lithuania Looking to Resume Tax Treaty Negotiations with Thailand

According to a release from Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Lithuania and Thailand met on 27 July 2026 to discuss bilateral relations. During the meeting, Minister Kęstutis Budrys invited Thailand to resume negotiations for an income tax treaty, which would include updating the draft treaty prepared in 2008. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
