The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has published a new Tax Audit Framework dated 22 December 2020. The framework will come into effect on 1 January 2021 and provides guidance on the selection of cases, the scope of audits, how an audit is carried out, objections and appeals, and other related matters.
