Mauritania's New Taxes on Electronic Transactions

Mauritania had introduced new taxes on electronic transactions as part of the 2026 Finance Act. The taxes apply to all electronic payments and money transfers executed via mobile money, electronic wallets, and digital payment platforms licensed by the Central Bank of Mauritania, including:
