Mexico- Federal Gift and Estate Tax Bill Submitted to Mexican Congress

On August 8, 2018, a Federal Gift and Estate Tax Bill, which was previously submitted two-years back in 2016, was submitted again to the Mexican Congress by its original proponent Deputy Jorge Alvarez Maynez, a member of the Citizen Movement Party. Mexico does not currently tax gifts or inheritances but rather offers a tax exemption.
