New Zealand and the Netherlands Negotiating New Tax Treaty

According to an update from New Zealand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, officials from New Zealand and the Netherlands held the first round of negotiations for a new income tax treaty in March 2026, with the second round to be held in September or October 2026. Any resulting treaty must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1980 tax treaty between the two countries.
