Niger COVID-19 Tax Relief Measures

Niger is reportedly implementing the following tax relief measures in response to COVID-19:

• an exemption from import duties and VAT on all products used to combat COVID-19;
• the suspension of tax audits for 2 months beginning 1 April 2020;
• a VAT exemption on public transport during the suspension of activities;
• an extension of the synthetic tax payment deadline from 31 March to 1 May 2020;
