OECD: PART I of Report on Impact of BEPS on Low Income Countries Released

The OECD on 1 August 2014 released Part I of its Report on the Impact of BEPS on Low Income Countries.  The main findings of the Report are as follows:

• BEPS has the potential to considerably impact on domestic resource mobilization in developing countries.
• The risks faced by many developing countries may differ from those faced by more advanced economies. Hence, the granting of wasteful tax incentives may be far more significant to developing countries than to developed countries.…
