Oman Tax Authority Announces Start of VAT Registration

The Oman Tax Authority issued a notice on 1 February 2021 announcing the start of VAT registration. As previously reported, registration is initially required for taxpayers with annual supplies exceeding or expected to exceed OMR 1 million, while voluntary registration is allowed if annual supplies exceed OMR 19,250.
