Parliament of Montenegro Approves Pending Tax Treaty with Liechtenstein

According to an update from the Parliament of Montenegro, the law for the ratification of the pending income and capital tax treaty with Liechtenstein was approved on 27 February 2026. The treaty, signed 25 September 2025, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
