According to a release from the Uzbekistan Government, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a pension agreement on 23 August 2026. The agreement is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
