Philippine Department of Finance Supports Taxation Plan for Offshore Gaming Operators

The Philippine Department of Finance has issued a release announcing its support for a plan for the taxation of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) and their service providers. The plan includes:
- a new 5% franchise tax on revenues generated by POGOs;
- the registration of POGOs as resident corporations as the basis for taxability;
