Poland Reduces Late Payment Interest Rates

On 15 September 2023, Poland published the Announcement of the Ministry of Finance on the rates of interest for tax arrears / late payment. This includes a reduction in the interest rates as follows:

• The standard rate is reduced from 16.5% to 15.0% per annum;
• The reduced rate is reduced from 8.25% to 7.50% per annum; and
• The increased rate is reduced from 24.75% to 22.50% per annum.
