Portugal approves new rules on Large Taxpayers Unit and criteria to define large taxpayers

On 17 January 2013 Decree-Law No. 6/2013 was published in the Republic Gazette, introducing new rules in the functioning of the Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU). According to these new rules, a new procedure is established in order to give further support to large taxpayers in the pre-filing process thus reducing the litigation risk associated with complex operations.
