Officials from Russia and Uruguay met during an international labor conference held 10 to 11 June 2019 to discuss various issues, including the negotiation of a social security agreement. Any resulting SSA would be the first of its kind between the two countries and would need to be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
