The South African Revenue Services has announced the promulgation of implementing regulations for the OECD Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), as well as updates to the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) concerning crypto, enhanced due diligence and reporting requirements, and other updates, repealing earlier regulations. The new regulations are effective 1 March 2026.
