South African Revenue Service Issues Filing Guide for the Withholding Tax on Royalties Return

The South African Revenue Service has published a filing guide for the Withholding Tax on Royalties Return. The guide covers the completion of the Withholding Tax on Royalties return (WTR01), the payment of withholding tax on royalties via eFiling, and the refund of withholding tax on royalties using the Rev16 form. It covers all details of the process, including screenshots of how the relevant forms are filled out and payment is made. The guide is effective from 23 August 2024.
