South Sudan Financial Act 2023/2024 Includes Personal Income Tax and Other Changes

On 29 December 2023, South Sudan's Ministry of Finance and Planning published a copy of the Financial Act 2023/2024, which was signed into law on 14 August 2023. The main tax changes include the following:

• The monthly personal income tax brackets are revised as follows:
  • up to SSP 20,000 - 0%
  • SSP 20,001 up to SSP 40,000 - 5%
  • SSP 40,001 up to SSP 57,000 - 10%
  • SSP 57,001 up to SSP 90,000 - 15%
