Sri Lanka Inland Revenue has published a Notice to VAT Registered Persons on the new tax invoice format and specification requirements set by an order originally published in the Official Gazette on 17 November 2025 and republished by Inland Revenue on 3 December. The new requirements were to apply to all registered persons from 1 January 2026, but have been postponed to 1 April 2026.
