Swiss Council of States Approves Pending Tax Treaties with Angola and Jordan

On 9 December 2024, the Swiss Council of States (upper house of parliament) approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaties with Angola and Jordan.

The tax treaty with Angola, signed 30 November 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will generally apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
