Swiss Parliament Approves BEPS MLI

According to an update from the Swiss Federal Department of Finance, on 22 March 2019, the Parliament approved in the final vote the ratification of the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI). The MLI is subject to an optional referendum, and once the ratification process is complete, Switzerland will need to deposit its ratification instrument to bring the MLI into force for its covered agreements (tax treaties).
