According to a joint statement published by India's Ministry of External Affairs, officials from Argentina and India met 17-19 February 2019 and agreed to expedite the signing of an income tax treaty and a social security agreement. Both the treaty and agreement would be the first of their kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
