The EU Puts Countermeasures in Place Against U.S. Exports

The European Commission has announced the publication of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1646 in the Official Journal of the EU, which provides for the introduction of tariffs on certain U.S. exports with effect from 10 November 2020. This follows recent authorization from the WTO for the EU to implement countermeasures in response to U.S. subsidies provided to aircraft maker Boeing.
